NWI: Gordon Project

When a family of four came to us with their 1940s weatherboard home, we knew we had to bring some fresh, vibrant energy to the space. They were inspired by coastal blues and wanted a modern, playful, coastal feel, so we got to work with a colour palette of light timbers, fresh whites, and a mix of bold blues and greens. We added some eye-catching patterns to tie everything together and create a sense of fun and excitement. Of course, we also had to make some adjustments to the original floor plan, including adding a third bedroom and opening up the back of the house to create a bright, inviting open-plan living area. To define each space and bring the whole look together, we played with a variety of textures and cabinetry and paint colours throughout the home. The end result was a space that perfectly captures the playful, energetic spirit of Nikki Weedon Interiors – and, of course, the happy family of four who call it home!
