This Strathmore Californian Bungalow called for a bathroom and laundry update that felt fresh and functional, while staying true to its heritage soul. Touches of forest green connect the interiors to the home’s leafy surrounds, while a walnut-toned vanity pairs effortlessly with the existing hardwood floors. A vintage-style fluted glass sconce adds ambience (and doubles as a night light). A nib wall, second toilet, walk-in shower and full-height tiling was incorporated to maximise both form and function. In addition, a transparent cavity door brings a light, modern edge without interrupting the flow. In the laundry, it’s all about function with built-in storage and an extended bench top. To complete the look, matching green subway tiles create cohesiveness between the two spaces.
